About
AstroSpeedrun is a free course for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, for secondary-school students preparing for the olympiad and their national selection. It is made by Alfie Jesson John.
How the numbers are checked
Every number in the text, the worked examples, the exercises and the solutions is computed by a script rather than by hand. Each chapter is reviewed independently for its physics, its numbers and its clarity before it is published, and each problem solution records when it was last checked. Star positions and charts come from real catalogues, listed on the credits page.
Mistakes still get through. If you find one, please report it; corrections are listed on What's new.
